A steady stream of finishers from all divisions has been arriving at Kaneohe Yacht Club since Sunday’s late afternoon update.

There were two Sunday night finishers. Cruiser Koh-Ring, Wolfgang Hausen’s Tayana 48 DS crossed the finish line at dusk. Husband-wife team, Bill and Melinda Erkelens, arrived before midnight looking neat in trim in their Aloha shirts after many days double-handing their Donovan 30, Wolfpack, in the ‘Iwi Division. Provisional results show them winning their division, but not repeating their overall win of 1994.

Three more boats in the Latitude 38 Division have finished -- as well as Hamachi, the first finisher in the Sonnen BMW division.

Finishing shortly after midnight (00:31:38 HST, unofficial finish time) was CARO, Max Klink’s Botin 65. Citing engine problems that began before the start of the race, CARO requested permission to head to the other side of the island after finishing and was towed into Honolulu early this morning.

Scarlett Runner, Robert Date’s R/P 52 from Australia that is circumnavigating the globe, crossed the finish line a few

VentureMichael Chobotov's Jeanneau 49, is the first boat to finish in the Holo Holo Cruising Division. Their track indicates that they sailed a great race, and word from the boat is that they flew their spinnaker as much as possible. They certainly looked good as they crossed the finish line. We think they should consider entering one of the racing divisions in 2016!

This is the first year the Pacific Cup has had a cruising division, opening the race to boats interested in the voyage but not the competitive racing.  Holo Holo is Hawaiian slang for walking around and having fun, and this “joy
