Richmond, CA, May 25, 2016 – With less than two months to go to the first start, the Pacific Cup Yacht Club (PCYC) has announced the dates for the Pacific Cup Village at Richmond Yacht Club (RYC) and the pre-race seminars and send-off parties. The Pacific Cup Village was established in 2014 as a partnership between PCYC and RYC to promote the friendly socializing for which the "Fun race to Hawaii" is famous, and to assist competitors with last minute preparations. Fine-tuning the race in response to new information and understanding a few things better, the Technical Committee has released a few minor upgrades to the Notice of Race. They are reflected in the posted race documents. Summarized, these changes are:
- Latest start date to be Friday, July 15. (Specific classes and start dates to be selected shortly.)
- Liferaft language clarified in equipment requirements
- Portable SSB may be powered by replaceable batteries

Richmond, CA, April 4, 2016 – With only 14 weeks to go to the first start, the Pacific Cup Yacht Club (PCYC) announced today that the 19th Pacific Cup Yacht Race is on schedule to include 70 boats, making it the largest Pacific Cup in over ten years. Racing begins the week of July 11 off St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco and finishes in Kaneohe Bay on the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. PCYC organizers are currently clearing a sizable wait list comprised of boats that entered after the 70-boat limit was reached.
