Our sailing instructions have now been posted to the documents page (along with new Appendix IV to the NOR, detailing RRS amendments, also reflected in the SI's).
All participants should read these very carefully. Eighteen fun-filled pages long, these cover many aspects of the race in ways specific to our event, including checking in, communications, start procedures, outside assistance, restricted areas, and more. Of particular note to return participants is that we have moved the finish line a bit and added a mark somewhat north of Mokumanu Island. Since our last race, two new potential hazards have appeared. The first is a field of unlit buoys in our former finish area. The second is an expanded artillery range around Mokumanu.
To avoid potential damage and to preserve fair sailing, our slightly modified course is intended to steer participants away from these hazards. The new finish is also a bit farther from the reef, which is a side benefit. Thanks to our tech committee and other commenters for getting this document issued.
