Entries for the 2020 Pacific Cup, the FUN race to Hawaii, are now open. The race is open to seaworthy boats in fully-crewed, doublehanded, and cruiser divisions. The race will start over several days beginning June 29, 2020.

Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2020, the race has taken thousands of sailors 2070 downwind miles to the welcoming shores of Kaneohe Bay. The 40th Anniversary Edition of the Pacific Cup, the FUN race to Hawaii will see the first fleet starting Monday, June 29, 2020. Starting in front of the iconic Saint Francis Yacht Club, successive divisions of boats will head out the gate from June 29 through July 3, all proceeding 2070 miles to beautiful Kanoehe Bay.

Safety. It's our top priority. We're presenting the first course of our 2020 race cycle April 13 or 14 (your choice), 2019 at Encinal Yacht Club.  The "International Safety at Sea with Hands-On" course meets Pac Cup and many other race requirements.

Moderated by Chuck Hawley and featuring a range of experienced experts in their fields, including "Professor Popsicle" Gordon Giesbrecht on the practical science of not dying if you fall overboard, this seminar will contribute to a safer, calmer, and more comfortable voyage, whether it's across the Bay or across the Pacific.

The membership votes are in, and have confirmed the uncontested nominations of the board for the 2020 Pacific Cup, the FUN race to Hawaii. 

"We're looking forward to a great race, reviving some of our traditional practices and continuing many innovations that have developed over the years.
