Earth Day Eats – A celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day
The Marine Mammal Center – the world’s largest marine mammal hospital – commemorates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day with a weeklong, at-home celebration in partnership with celebrity Top Chefs to showcase the importance of sustainable fishing and farming to a healthy ocean…and as one of our core partners we’d like your support in spreading the word! Activity highlights include:
- Bravo’s Top Chef finalist Eric Adjepong sharing cooking tutorials and scrumptious recipes, and hosting Facebook Live events from April 15
April 7, 2020 - SAN FRANCISCO -- Race organizers for the 2020 Pacific Cup race from San Francisco to Hawaii have announced their decision to cancel the 2020 race, with the next race to be held the week of July 4, 2022. “We’re terribly disappointed to take this step to cancel the 2020 race, but the health and safety of our participants, partners, and the many supporting volunteers must take priority,” said Pacific Cup Commodore Michael Moradzadeh.

Expanding on our relationship with Sailors for the Sea Powered by Oceana, Pacific Cup is collecting its resources and advice relating to an environmentally sensitive race and surrounding events. As described on our Green landing page, Our actions include:
- Creating a new category in our Knowledgebase called "Green" and are populating it with new and existing materials
- Working with our event venues to reduce waste and single-use plastics
- Teaming with environmental organizations to support their missions, educational efforts, and direct projects
- Inviting racers to participate in "Citizen
