As a kickoff for the 2022 Pacific Cup Yacht race, The Pacific Cup Yacht Club will hold a Northwest get together at Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle on December 26 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Several racers and cruisers from Canada to Oregon have signed up for the Pacific Cup, and we look forward to meeting them. We welcome anyone interested in the race to come and network: Pacific Cup entrants, crew, prospective crew, past participants and those who have withdrawn from the race. 

ALASKA AIRLINES TO RETURN AS A MAJOR SPONSOR

Alaska Airlines is returning as a major sponsor of the 2022 Pacific Cup yacht race. The race, which runs in even years from San Francisco, California to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, attracts racers from around the world and is known as “the FUN Race to Hawaii.”  “We’re thrilled that Alaska is renewing our relationship and can’t wait to partner with them to offer a compelling program again in 2022,” said Jim Quanci, PCYC Commodore. Alaska will again be the Pacific Cup’s official airline sponsor and continue as a Division Sponsor and presenting sponsor of the Pacific Offshore Academy series of educational seminars designed to prepare the racers for a fun and safe race to Hawaii. In addition, Alaska will play a key role in the pre-race events and help support the racers and their families with discounted airfare as they prepare for or return from their crossing.

All hands! One thing that makes Pacific Cup different from other major ocean races is our extensive support for our participants, including our seminars (the "Pacific Offshore Academy").

Our first seminar will take place October 9 at Richmond Yacht Club. It'll focus on some of the longer lead-time items you'll need to plan for to have your boat in ocean-ready condition. These will include presentations by experts and race veterans as well as breakout small group discussions to get detailed advice and answers to your questions.
