Last Call before the rate goes up...

USSailing sanctioned Safety at Sea Seminar by PCYC is scheduled for May 18.  It will be held at Encinal Yacht Club with signups open now.  This, or one like it, is REQUIRED for a portion of the crew for a Category 1 race, including the Pacific Cup.

Moderated by the ebullient Chuck Hawley, the session is chock-full of useful info for ocean racers of any stripe.  We need to give firm numbers to EYC this weekend, so we must raise the course fee Saturday.  Sign up today so you don't get frozen or priced out.

Can't make this one?  Stuck on the East Coast? CCA is holding one on June 18 in Newport. Or check the USSailing site for other events.  (You can check on past attendance here.)

Got a Friend on a Boat?  Send the Boat a Lei.

It's a thoughtful, Hawaiian way of saying "Welcome to land".  For more information, see the link.

Save the Dates, Pacific Cup Village

Richmond YC has partnered with the Pacific Cup YC to be the Start Line Race Headquarters of the 2014 Pacific Cup and invites all competitors and their families to the first-ever Pacific Cup Village. The Village establishes a San Francisco Bay venue for Pac Cup racers to gather and have fun as well as an opportunity to get useful information and assistance with any last minute preparations.

The Pacific Cup Village will officially run from Monday, June 30 through Saturday, July 5, but some Village services will start on June 23 and continue through July 11, the date of the last division’s start. Here’s what to expect:
